Tracking "hits" on policies

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to track how many times specific policies are being viewed, or if there’s a way to pull a report on policy “hits”?

Hi Melissa,

I don’t believe there is a way to track directly within PolicyStat the number of times a specific policy has been accessed. I find the reporting options and capabilities within PolicyStat to be grossly lacking. This could be in part, due to them wanting customers to use an add-on product at an additional cost, PolicyStat Statistics Dashboard. Just a a few of the metrics being tracked on there include Searches Made, Top Searches, Top Searches Producing No Results, Policy Selected After Searching, and Top Policy Views.

That said, the PolicyStat Statistics Dashboard is limited to what it shows and it’s not always functioning as we would expect or need. For example, the User Login report indicates no one at my facility has ever logged in the entire time we’ve been active with PolicyStat, which is clearly wrong, yet has never worked. Data on other reports on this dashboard are routinely incorrect. There are also times where the dashboard has error messages stating the data isn’t available.

In my opinion, the dashboard has a user friendly layout, is interactive, and includes helpful details and filters to narrow data, however anything that’s on the dashboard should be included within the Reports section of the Admin Console.

@melissa.gault Hi. There isn’t a way to look up how many times specific policies are viewed today, but we are planning some nice updates over this next year including adding policy views and who viewed what.

Hi @enessa.whitten. All valid points. The PolicyStatistics dashboard report has not changed in several years and needs a refresh.
We will be starting to migrate that data into the product beginning the 2nd half of this year, and that will address the limitations the current solution has.
I’ll be joining the next PolicyStat HUB call in April and share a roadmap update with attendees. I should have a more information then.
